Job Scope:

The objective of this position is to ensure that equipment is scheduled, sourced, and ready for the Client's prep and/ or shipment. Process new orders and maintain existing jobs to support sales and marketing. The department must work closely with Marketing Executives and Operations. Must always display professionalism with clients on premises, through email, and over phone. Provide unparalleled customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and maintain accurate initial camera orders (prelim, bids, etc. ) – continually updating changes to orders during prep with communications to Marketing, Prep and Service departments.
  • Ensure correct equipment is scheduled for all jobs. 
  • Update rental software and Active Scheduler accordingly.
  • Maintain effective, timely and accurate communication with all departments and clients, including billing notes on existing projects.
  • Keep Operations and Account Executives abreast of low levels of scheduled equipment, while working with Prep Staff.
  • Locate and reserve equipment from other Panavision offices and / or from other rental houses.
  • Communicate daily with Prep and Service departments on changing priorities.
  • Arrange for sub- rentals or branch transfer of equipment needed to support projects with Global Inventory Director / Local Office Manager.
  • Coordinate return of sub-rented equipment after projects are completed.
  • Maintain inter-office transfers, as directed.
  • Other tasks and assignments as required.

Knowledge Expected to Learn:

  • Panavision inventory (basic functions, specialty items, etc.)
  • Pinnacle, Explorer, Active Scheduler and other computer applications (Microsoft Office).
  • Comprehensive client knowledge – job histories, equipment preferences, for each specific job in progress.
  • Understanding of Industry and filmmaking process.

  • Dynamic team player.

  • Ability to work and maintain effectiveness under pressure, within tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work on own initiative without constant supervision.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Basic accounting principles
  • Able to maintain proper balance between local goals/ objectives and overall company goals and objectives.
  • Diplomacy.

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and reach with hands and arms. The employee may also be required to lift product or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This position works standard business hours, but may require long hours and some weekend work.

Travel:

Some out-of-state/country and overnight travel may be expected.
