We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our software team. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for maintaining our microservices and cloud infrastructure environments, as well as creating the next generation of workflow automation software in post-production. A successful candidate will have a strong background in software development, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure. They will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and reliable solutions that meet the needs of our clients and support the growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with software developers and other stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain microservices-based applications
- Build and maintain on-premise and cloud (AWS, GCP) infrastructure as code, using tools like Terraform, Salt, etc.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab, Packer, etc.
- Help ensure that all infrastructure and services are secure, reliable, and scalable
- Implement and maintain metrics monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address issues before they impact our clients
- Participate in code reviews, architecture reviews, and other technical discussions
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in DevOps and cloud infrastructure
- Technical B.S. or equivalent professional experience
- Required Skills/Competencies:
- 3+ years of experience in software development and DevOps
- Strong knowledge of Python
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns
- Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and infrastructure as code
- Strong experience with continuous integration and delivery pipelines
- Strong experience with containerization and container orchestration using Docker
- Strong experience with monitoring and alerting systems
- Strong experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for learning and continuous improvement
- Preferred Skills/Competencies:
- Previous experience in a post-production facility
- Familiarity with common post-production software APIs, such as Media Shuttle, Aspera/Faspex, ColorFront’s Transkoder, Davinci Resolve, FilmLight/BaseLight, and/or MediaPulse
- Experience using Media Asset Management systems such as ShotGrid
- Experience building and maintaining VMware infrastructures
- JavaScript and Vue experience
$105,000 - $125,000 / Per Year
